The Sex Pistols are one of the best known 70's punk bands, not just because of their music, but mostly their image, "We Don't Care!". They had one hit album "Never Mind the Bollocks", with two hit singles, "God Save the Queen", and "Anarchy in the UK". Being snobby, violent, terrifing, and always with an attitude was the image given to Johnny Rotten by the media...of course It's a bunch of shit. I mean yeah he has been a bitch before, and he probaly scares little children (like me), but the media always takes things way out of proportion, and exspecially on Johnny, because He was in a band with a bad reputation. Well It wa bad to older arrogant people with a lot of iggnorance, for me I don't even believe in reputations. The SEx PiStols are the best known punk band from that era, and prob. plainly the best known punk band. Not to long ago Johnny along with the rest of the pistols...besides SiD, played the inland invasion...I didn't get to go (dammit!) but I heard they were good, and cheers to Johnny for still playing. After the pistols, Johnny had another band called Public Image or PIL. This band didn't get the same reputation or fame as the pistols, but Johnny being in the band did help.
